Podium appointed to support Walton Charity as Designer and Contract Administrator for fire safety improvements

Podium has been appointed as the Designer and Contract Administrator for fire safety improvement works at Walton Charity’s Fenner House and Mayfield properties, both independent living accommodations for people aged 55 and over. Podium are delighted to be supporting the charity in this work which includes critical upgrades to fire compartmentation and communal doors to ensure the safety and security of the residents.

Walton Charity, a long-established charitable foundation based in Elmbridge, Surrey, has been a trusted member of the local community for over 800 years. In addition to their significant contributions to housing and grant funding, the charity is committed to tackling key local issues such as poverty, health, housing, and educational attainment.

The fire safety works at Fenner House and Mayfield will enhance both the safety and security of the properties, greatly benefiting the most vulnerable residents. The flats are fully self-contained, offering residents the benefits of independent living, along with access to communal spaces and 24/7 on-call emergency systems.
